About Motzine

Motzine is a home for independent comics and DIY zine culture, a place to read new issues, then go make your own.

Zines have always been about cutting out the middle. No publisher's permission, no algorithm to please, no gatekeeper deciding what's worth printing, just an idea, a folded stack of paper, and a stapler. Motzine keeps that spirit: the comics here are made by people who wanted to make them, and the tools here exist so you can do the same.

What you'll find

New comics, published as issues you can read straight through in your browser. No paywall to turn a page, no account to start reading. When something grabs you, the whole issue is right there.

Make your own

The Make a Zine tool turns any PDF into print-ready spreads, the page-shuffling magic that normally needs expensive layout software. Export it, print it double-sided, fold, staple. That's a zine. It runs entirely in your browser, and your file is never uploaded to anyone, including us.
